You left off global warming, skeptic or believer, you won't be happy with the number - 61% - of Americans that believe global warming is occurring (wording is effects have "already begun".)
Probably the most surprising thing to me is the rate of belief in witches. I had thought that that particular superstition went out of style over a hundred years ago.
Not sure what the 1,000 years of scientific progress refers to. Can't be evolution since Darwin first sailed on the Beagle in about 1830. Is it the sum of all the people who believe in any of the other mentioned things?
A deceiver, huh? That sounds like rather biblical language to me. Perhaps I'm working in concert with the Devil... and wikipedia. I got the numbers from here: paranormal belief polls. I'm not sure what your link to the political beliefs of Americans is supposed to show.
Huh, you really should have given that link together with the comic...
Still, considering that none of the people I have met in my entire life actually believe in witches, I have my doubts. Perhaps things are a little different in America from where I live.
And when I said deceiver, I did not mean 'worker for satan', I meant 'ignorant twit'. Needless to say, I stand corrected.
Since it said that 26% of the US believes in witches I figured the wiki was rigged. But some more reliable sources back it up. Though there is a slight discrepancy.

The ad for the astrologer under the comic is a nice touch. "See why she's different from other astrologers!"

note: 2006 numbers were 58%, 61% is from a 2008 poll.

This terrifies me.
