I grew up in Rawlins, Wyoming, but not in the world of cowboys or rodeos. Not many of us in Wyoming are cowboys, rodeo afficionados, or fans of C/W music.
I continue to be amazed at the number of people, after I tell them I am from Wyoming, assume that I am a goatroper. They ask me what it was like to grow up on a ranch and ride horses. It is like asking a Manhahattanite how many times they get mugged each week!
Enjoy the beauty of Wyoming. It was a nice place to grow up, but I am a city girl. It is great to live in Houston, and no, I don't ride horses here, either.

Great post!
Yes, rodeos do exist, and they're no secret.
Having grown up in the midwest, I've been to my fair share of rodeos, but never one with a bunch of Hells Angels present@
lovely journal, Grey
seems you had a much more interesting road trip than I thought;-)

I just wasted all day at work reading this from the start! Thanks for the distraction :)
So far your road trip is the same as mine (Corn Palace, Mt Rushmore, Cody), where next?
