New Website Section: Articles

I’m opening a new section of my website: articles. The inaugural article is a description of the organizational system I use to try and keep on top of my long list of todo’s as a teacher. I’m starting this section partly as a reaction to my frustration with my journal. Ever since I started working as a teacher, I knew that because I work with children, the vast, vast majority of my work life would be off limits for writing about in the style I’ve used for the journal.

This has cut out an enormous portion of my life. Unlike when I was unemployed for nine months, I don’t have the time to just explore the city and write about my experiences. When I’m at work for twelve hours a day, and I can’t write about work, there is a lot less to write about.

So I’ll be keeping the journal on a planned monthly basis, but that leaves me lots of time to get rusty between entries. So I’m hoping that the article section will keep me in practice.
